Enhancing the Arts Through Design

The design of the Thomaston-Upson Fine Arts Center enhances the audience experience and empowers the performers behind the scenes.

Visitors entering the auditorium are greeted with a gallery style front lobby, filled with natural light and student art work. During performances, the audience enjoys a 900-Seat auditorium with a balcony, designed using radial geometry to maximize acoustics and lines of sight. Behind the scenes, state-of-the-art stage production technology (AV engineering, lighting and control systems) are combined with dressing rooms and storage areas to ensure performance and viewing excellence.
